ALEXANDALEXA.COM Launches Facebook Video Competition FOR Spring/Summer 2011

Global luxury children’s wear retailer, www.AlexandAlexa.com, has created a fabulous interactive Facebook competition to launch their spring/summer 2011 collection.

Each season, Alex and Alexa produces a look book catalog for their customers, featuring an edited selection of the most coveted items of the season. To launch the spring/summer ’11 look book, the premier retailer is offering up the chance for one lucky winner to win items straight off the pages!

The prize includes a collection of gorgeous designer clothing as featured in the ‘Pack your Bags’ holiday section of the look book (page 10 – 15). These capsule holiday wardrobes are all you need for a summer getaway, from swimwear and sunnies to a cotton robe and cool tees, worth over £500. Giesswein's Fall/Winter 2011-12 children's collection will enchant your winter time. The Winter-Garden models are unique with their spring like themes: they bring the spirit of this wonderful season to a collection for the cold period.




The Wilderness collection contains elegant pieces as well as sporty clothing. The combination of colors between the boiled wool in dark blue and the cord in light brown are casual. The Retro Sport collection is the most varied collection. Fairy tales and stories are told, written down in the boiled wool of Giesswein. Having completed a degree in chemistry, the designer, Céline Prost, reoriented her career towards fashion in order to fulfill a childhood dream. She studied fashion at Esmod Paris and at l’Ecole de la chamber syndicale de la couture parisienne.

In September 2009, Je suis en CP came to light: playful and delicate fashions for children ages 0-6.

Bon-ton style, clean lines with a personal mix and an eye for details: boiled wool for outwear, jackets such as the "grandfather" jacket with leather patches and buttons, knitwear in Merino wool and cashmere playing with contrasting motifs and edges.

For the boy, dressed in plain shirts in dandy fabrics, even coming back to shorts and wool fantasy trousers: from small checks to tartan. The girls often dress with spirited "Liberty" flowers, printed on flannels and muslins, and sometimes they become princesses with crinky dresses and opaline buttons.





A palette of colors ranging from reassuring traditional tones to the most sought and trendy shades: acid green, burgundy and mauve. Original details embellish the garments of little girls with small embroideries and hand knitting. At this point, vintage accessories come together and enrich the forms simply. French designer Suzanne Ermann, already world famous for her collections of wedding and evening
dresses, launched her revolutionary “Children” line in 2010.

“Children”, by Suzanne Ermann, is meant for girls from 2 to 14 who enjoy dressing and having fun. Her 2011-2012 Autumn-Winter collection is chic and playful with Day and Evening creations.

Suzanne Ermann revisits sportswear garments with her Couture touch. Quality fabrics are mixed sophistically.



Dresses, skirts, tops and blousons are made in quilted material and polar wool. Other dresses, suits, and sweats are in jersey adorned with fringes. Fake sheep-fur wool warms up coats and jackets.

Suzanne Ermann has imagined a host of dresses to celebrate: she structures shapes in duchesse satin, underlined with ruches stitched with multicoloured marbles, or with Lamé details (candys, piping...).
